Happy Birthday to Me!!

Well today I turned the big 2-8!! ;) What a great day we had. Chris took the day off from work and I got to sleep in. Then Chris made us all a wonderful French Toast breakfast (My Fav!!)!! Then we played and hung out around the house. Then for dinner, they took me to Maggiano's~YUMMY!!!

We got home and I got to open gifts. I kept thinkin' it was Christmas, not just my birthday, I am totally spoiled!!! I got a ton of fun Cake Decorating things, and I'll be taking a cake decorating class at a cute cake place in Plano!! I also got some really cute necklaces & earrings~
I have to give props to Chris for picking out some really cute things along with a really gorgeous gift!!! Then we had yummy chocolate cake!

What a Wonderful birthday, I must be the luckiest girl in the world!!

Visit with Great Gram Hopper!!

Today, we went to church with Great Gram Hopper down in Dallas. Her church was recognizing all that she does and has done for them. In fact, it is the church that Chris's Grandfather (Grandpa Hopper) started. It was really a nice service and they had a lovely reception afterwards honoring her as well as wives of other former pastors. We were so happy to get to go and be a part of that and also we got to see Aunt Mary who came down from Reno. Gram got a big kick out of showing off Ben & Emma. And the kids LOVED getting to see her and of course have cake ;) Afterwards, we all went out to lunch at Spring Creek BBQ ~Yum!

Well, tonight after dinner Chris turned on the TV to check out what else, the Rangers game. He called me into the room and I could NOT believe my eyes!!!

This is what I saw:

No, It really says 30 to 3!!!!!!!
I've never seen a score like that before, yeehaw! Are My Eyes Deceiving Me? .....

Later in the news this evening, I learned that the Rangers (yes, you heard correctly: The Texas Rangers) Set a Modern Era Record!! Pretty cool huh!?!

The New Katie....

Truth Time: I've been debating for quite a while now if I had the guts to cut my hair SHORT.... (as some of you may know, my hair has Never been cut very short before)

Well, this weekend I bit the bullet and went for it... Hope Y'all like it!!

Magic Show!!

This past week, we got to go to a Magic Show with our Moms Club friends. Ben & Emma were so excited that Daddy got to come with us!!! Ben and his friend Jackson were a little skeptical at first, but I think they ended up enjoying themselves ;) All of the kids had lots of fun watching the magic tricks and they all got a piece of candy at the end.

Happy Birthday Ethan!!

Today we went to our friend Ethan's 3rd Birthday party. What fun we had! The first thing we saw when we got to the backyard was a tractor with a trailer on the back, Ben was SOOO excited!!! The first thing he did was jump on the tractor with Ethan!! Between Ben & Ethan, I think they had about 30 rides on those tractors ;) Ben couldn't stop talking about them all the rest of the day and the next day!!! And Miss Emma LOVED playing in the sand, she had a blast "burying" herself!! They also had fun riding bikes around Miss Heidi's parents new barn!! Thanks Y'all for an AWESOME day!!

The Fire Station

This past week we got to go on a really cool activity with our local Moms Club. We got to check out McKinney's newest Fire Station. It was really cool!! It has two levels (like all the ones in the storybooks) and it had POLES!! Ben LOVED it!! They also got to go inside the Firetruck! As we were finishing up, a real call came in and two of the trucks left with their sirens and lights blaring!! ~it was pretty cool!!
Now anytime he gets "hurt" he tells me, 'Mommy, call the ambulance' ~~He just wants to see it up close again,
what a Kook ;)
We can't wait to go back once they have more of the museum part finished!! What a fun day!!
