Happy Birthday PaPa Gilligan!!

Today was My Dad's Birthday, we went over to my parents this afternoon to help celebrate. We were planning on swimming but surprise surprise, it rained. Oh well, we had a yummy dinner of Homemade Lasagna and my Mom made my Dad's Favorite cake (Red Velvet). Ben was especially thrilled to see that!! We opened gifts and then had cake and ice cream. After the red velvet cake, we decided we better give the kiddos a bath ;) Then Papa read to Ben and Emma and we headed home. We love you Papa and hope you had a WONDERFUL birthday!!!

VBS

Well This week was way fun and crazy, we had VBS at our church (Our Lady of Angels). The premise behind it was Sonforce kids Special Agents for God (it was kind of like outerspace and spy kids type of things). Ben had a total BLAST!! He LOVED learning all of the songs and getting to do the crafts. They made a special Agent Briefcase with lots of cool spy gear. Miss Emma had fun in the nursery playing and watching movies. I helped out with Bible Stories, it was very rewarding to help teach the kiddos, BUT it also reaffirmed that teaching is not really my cup of tea ;) I think I'll volunteer for music next year ;) Then to end things on an even cooler note, today at Mass the kids got to go up in front of everyone and sing two of the songs they learned. It was just way too cute!!!

Sunny Day?!?!?

What a Beautiful day we had today!! Ben, Emma & I spent the morning playing outside on our playset. Then I decided it would be fun for them to eat their lunch outside at their picnic table.They had such a fun time eating their PB & J's along with chocolate milkshakes outside :) They were SO excited, that when they were finished they had to come inside to call Daddy at work and tell him all about it!!!

Happy Birthday GaGa!!

This weekend, we celebrated my Mom's birthday. We had My Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother and Gram all over on Saturday for Pork Roast and Mashed Potatoes (My mom's fav) and a Yummy Cherry-Chip cake. Then on Sunday after church, we went over and swam at my parents then went to dinner at a very yummy restaurant in Garland called Babe's. They have the BEST Fried Chicken and really good sides.

Happy 6th Anniversary!!

WOW, I can't believe it's been 6 wonderful years that Chris & I have been married. Though at times it seems longer, since we've been together for 10 years :) We have had so many wonderful changes and grown so much as a couple, I am So incredibly blessed to have found My One and Only!!!!!

Happy 4th of July!!!

What a fun day we had today. We started the day off with homemade donuts for breakfast~Yum-o ;) Then we got ready and headed over to Aunt Kelley & Uncle Chris's house for our 4th of July celebration. Today was Uncle Chris's Birthday and Great Gram Hopper's Birthday!!! We also celebrated Sarah's boyfriend Wes's birthday which is Saturday! We had a wonderful lunch and yummy cobbler along with a really cute and yummy flag cake (made by yours truly ;) ). Ben & Emma had a blast playing with Uncle Chris's niece Molly and going on a walk with Papa Scheurer. It was so wonderful getting to see Gram Hopper :)
After all the fun at Aunt Kelley's, we went over to my parents and had a Great fourth of July dinner with my Mom, Dad, Gram & Sis. It was So fun getting to see most of our family today!! I hope you all had a wonderful and safe 4th!!

10 Year High School Reunion

This weekend was Chris & I's 10 Yr High School Reunion. CRAZY!! ;) (Having kids doesn't make me feel that old, but this kinda did ;) )
We both graduated from Plano East Senior High in Plano, Tx in 1997. This weekend was a blast! On Friday night, we went to a bar in dallas called The Barley House, it was nice. Though I'm definitely not a "bar" person anymore ;) We got to see quite a few people there and have a few drinks. Then on Saturday morning, we headed to Haggard Park in Plano to catchup with some friends and let the kids play on the playgrounds. We got to see our friend Jimmy and meet his wife Michelle (they're livin' in Austin now) and Our friend Heidi (and her kids) and Our friend Kristen (and her kids). It was great fun to see everyone! Saturday night, we brought the kids over to my parents and Chris & I went out to dinner before heading to City Club in Dallas for the Reunion celebration. It was actually a really fun time. We got to see our friend Spence (who was the class president) and catch up with him which was great! There were actually a LOT of people there, and it's funny to see that people didn't really look all that different. It was a ton of fun, and I guess we may see some of them again in 10 yrs~ Yikes ;)
