New Vehicle!!

This weekend we decided to go and check out minivans in the hopes of trading in our lovely Civic. Friday Night we went and checked out the Odyssey, then Chris went Saturday and looked at the Sienna. Around 2:30 Saturday afternoon, Chris called to tell me that we had a NEW Van!!! We absolutely LOVE it!!! It's kind of a Maroonish Red Odyssey and it has a TON more room!!! The kids are so excited too, now they can see out so much better!!!

Mother's Day!!

What a day....
We went down to Dallas to visit Chris' Gram, unfortunately she was feeling a little under the weather so we just stayed around her cottage and talked and watched the kids play. Grandma Ann took the kids on a tour of the Main building so we could see all of the cool renovations they have done. It looks wonderful. The kids had such a fun time looking at the Bunnies. They also got to feed the fish in the tank and they got to see a couple of birds. Then we went back to Gram's cottage and the kiddos had to look at the pond in front. Ben HAD to feed the tadpoles, so Grandma Ann went in and got him some bread. The tadpoles were VERY happy ;) As we were walking out to our car to go home, we noticed we had a flat tire :( BUMMER!! So poor Daddy had to be out in the heat changing it.

We were finally on our way home to rest for a little bit and I got to open my presents. I got a beautiful Cinderella Cookie Jar and some fun Cake decorating accessories from Chris & the Kids.
Then we headed to my parents house, we had a lovely steak dinner ~ YUM-O (Thanks Mom) ;) and I got to open even more presents. I got a beautiful heart ring from my Sister and I got some yummy pineapply scented lotion & spray(which takes me back to my high school days) from my Parents along with some really cute new clothes~~ HOORAY!! ;)
Then we got Chocolate cake for dessert~ YUMMY!!

After dessert, Ben & Emma decided they wanted to go and put their feet in the pool, to check and see how the water felt. Emma went a little too far and ended up actually in the pool, luckily Daddy & NaNa were there to get her. She was a little cold & wet, but fine ( I think she just wanted to go swimmin'). So we got her dried off and into jammies and headed home. What a crazy yet fun-filled day!! I guess that's what being a Mom is all about!!!

So Fun Saturday!

Saturday we went to visit Mimi, Lou Lou & Papa at their new house to wish Mimi & Lou Lou a Happy Mother's Day. We got out of the car and the first thing Ben saw was Papa on his John Deere Tractor mowing the yard!!! Needless to say, Ben was SUPER excited!!! ;)

Then we went over to their neighbors house (they have a little girl Emma's age) and the kids got to visit with Nelly the pony. They fed her carrots and they each got a turn sitting on her. Now which of my kids do you think LOVED being up on that pony the most???
I'm sure most of you would have guessed Miss Emma Kate~~~BUT Nope, it was Ben. He LOVED being up on the pony!! Emma was like, ok I did it so please get me down NOW!! On the way back across the street, we saw a beautiful RAINBOW!!
Then we got to have Pizza for dinner and Ben got to ride around the yard with PaPa on the JOHN DEERE!!! What a GREAT time!!!

Ben came into the family room this evening after taking apart his train set looking like this:


He said "look Mom, I'm Saturn"...
I never knew that train tracks could make such good rings ;)

We came in to get Emma up from her Nap this afternoon, and this is the sight we saw:


Emma sleeping with her Dolly (Baby Haley)~~ She must have gotten out of her new big girl bed & brought her babydoll into bed with her ;)
